A few springs ago, a pair of doves began nesting in eaves above our porch. Some years were successful for them, some not.

This year they hatched two babies. The dove above is standing guard about ten feet from the nest.

We hope that they are safe.

Shortly after this, the mother bird returned to again sit in the nest:

We will see what happens next.
